Well, I was watching the BBC again (love that station) and they featured this really interesting site/technology called A.L.I.C.E. - a form of artificial intelligence. Now I had heard of A.L.I.C.E. before from some science show a year ago or so as the technology was being tested to see if anyone could tell that they were chatting with a computer instead of a live human being. It was very difficult to tell, and apparently, the technology has been getting better ever since. You can have a chat with A.L.I.C.E. at this site and you can also find out how to program your own chat robot if you are into that sort of thing (at that point I'm in over my head).
