This happens to me all the time. I want to send a URL to someone so that they can see some interesting thing I've found, but the URL is so long it breaks up in the email and my recipient has to put it back together before they can make use of it. Enter TinyURL.com. This site will allow you to enter (via cut and paste preferably) a URL of your choice and with the click of a button, will generate a much smaller URL for you to use. This may not sound like such a big deal, but it really comes in handy every once in a while. And it's free, so that's good too.
