Have you ever wanted to email someone a letter or spreadsheet but you didn't want them to be able to easily alter it? You can fiddle with document password protection, hope they have a fax machine or you can create an Adobe PDF file and send them that instead.
A PDF file is an electronic document and can look anyway you want, with pictures and text. Adobe created this standard, and offers PDF readers free from their web site Adobe.com. You can purchase PDF creator software from Adobe as well, but this file is free!
CutePDF installs on your computer and acts like a printer, even showing up as one in your software's printer dialogue. Create your document, and when you are finished, print it out using the CutePDF printer.
Instead of printing it out on paper, CutePDF will create a file on your computer that you can then attach to your email. Your recipient will be able to read it using the free PDF reader from Adobe.
